Appearance

Despite the fact that most of Miroku’s advances end in vain, the monk seems relatively good looking. He has dark hair that would probably go down to about his shoulders if he didn’t tie it back, though in true anime/manga style the length is anything but consistent. The shade of his hair is debatable, it’s usually black, but again as with most anime it tends to vary at random times. Usually it is black with a blue or purple tint, though occasionally it is black with a brown tint. As mentioned before, his hair is tied back at the nape of his neck, though the rest of his hair is cut short and he has long bangs. Unlike most other monks seen in the series, Miroku doesn’t seem to need to shave his head.

His eyes are drawn relatively large for male anime/manga eyes, and are usually either blue or purple. This seems odd as he is supposed to be Asian; however manga tends to have its own rules about these things. His eyebrows are probably what keep him from looking too feminine as they are thick. The rest of his features are the standard anime fare, small nose and mouth, and a pointed chin. Other than that Miroku has a number of gold earrings, two in his left ear and one in his right. Another monk rule of poverty he seems to have broken.
