Seiyuu
Where would the anime Miroku be without his voice? If he could not say "Watashi no ko o unde kudasai?" or "Will you bear my child?" would he still be the lovable character we know him as? We may never know... thank you Tsujitani Kouji and Kirby Morrow! (I'm going to hunt down the info on Miroku's voice actors in other languages too... hold onto your hats folks!) Please note, finding info on Seiyuu seems to be very difficult, this page will be fully completed as I learn more...
Tsujitani Kouji (Japanese)...
Tsujitani Kouji is the man who does Miroku's Japanese voice. His voice is exactly what Miroku should sound like, it’s even and mature very deep and adult... it just seems to fit Miroku so perfectly! Tsujitani Kouji was born April 26, 1962, and works for Sigma Seven. He does a great job at doing the voice of Miroku especially during the serious scenes; he gets Miroku's sweet side very nicely. These scenes are so captivating; his voice hits this nice even pitch which I love. Not to say that he can't play Miroku's funny side. Tsujitani is brilliant at Miroku's signature line "Watashi no ko o unde kudasai?" and makes the greatest sound effects while being beaten on by Sango... Ever... No question... =D... I couldn't find any other voices that he has done, but I'm on a quest to find them.
Kirby Morrow (English)...
Kirby Morrow is the voice actor for Miroku in the English dub. Although I'm probably going to get flamed for this, I think he does a really good job! Especially at the "19 year old boy" aspect of Miroku, the flirting, the funny moments, and even the really sweet serious ones. Sometimes however, it does sound awkward when he tries to play the part of the monk, sometimes you hear a little uncertainty behind those lines, and this is probably because he isn't Japanese and may not totally understand the significance of what he is saying. For example, explaining the Shikon no Tama sounded a lot like he was just reciting lines and that he had no idea what he was saying, it’s entirely possibly that this was the effect he was going for, maybe implying that while Miroku has memorized all the facts of the religion he doesn’t quite understand the meaning. I'm still hunting down other voices Kirby Morrow does, I know he's done quite a few but I can't recall them. Other then that, Kirby Morrow is a great Miroku.
